Milan man arrested on parole warrant
The highway patrol reports the arrest in Sullivan County of a Milan resident on a felony parole warrant. Twenty-nine-year-old Thomas N. Miller was arrested Tuesday afternoon and taken to the Sullivan County Jail. The arrest bond shows no bond on the parole warrant. Miller’s original charge in Sullivan County was driving while intoxicated, persistent offender.

The Milan Elks Lodge will host a fireworks display next week. Trustee Lee Vandusseldorp says a professional pyrotechnician will set off the fireworks at the Sullivan County Country Club in Milan July 3rd starting at dusk. The Elks purchased $7,500 worth of fireworks for the display with the help of donations from local businesses.
