Street closing in Jamesport announced
A street closing has been announced in Jamesport. As of 8 o’clock Wednesday morning, March 6th Auberry Grove from Callison Street to Vine Street will be closed. A water service line is to be repaired that runs under the street. It’s unknown what time the street can re-open at Jamesport.

Chillicothe to opt-out of storm siren test
With the cold temperatures, Chillicothe will opt out of the storm siren test on Tuesday. Fire Chief Darrell Wright made the announcement adding they will participate and sound alerts at schools and textcaster. Wright said Chillicothe will do a siren test when the weather warms.

An Independence man, 30-year old Dereck Cornish, was arrested Saturday afternoon in Caldwell County.
