A Trenton resident is held in jail on two felony counts stemming from a police-investigated incident on Friday, April 26.
Thirty-four-year-old Naomi Esther Roy has been charged with abuse or neglect of a child – no sexual contact – and with resisting or interfering with an arrest for a felony. Bond is set at $100,000 pending her appearance on May 14 in the associate division of Grundy County Circuit Court.
A probable cause statement accuses Roy of grabbing the face of a child, less than 14 years old, and shaking the victim, leaving a bruise on the cheek. She’s also accused of using physical force to resist the efforts of two police officers who were placing her under arrest.
