The Missouri Department of Transportation reports winter precipitation and freezing temperatures have delayed the planned reopening of the Highway 139 Newtown Branch Bridge.
The Newtown Branch Bridge is now expected to reopen in early April. Contractors from Widel, Incorporated, working with MoDOT, closed the bridge for a replacement project in January.
MoDOT notes the work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
