A spokesman for Serve Mercer County, Abner Neill, reports a total of 14 projects were completed Sunday at various locations in the county. He also reported there were 91 people who volunteered. Serve Mercer County is described as an initiative to help elderly neighbors and others in need with cleanup and beautification efforts.

Woman hospitalized, car demolished in Highway 10 crash
A woman from Richmond received serious injuries Sunday evening when the car she was driving went off Highway 10 and struck a utility pole. Fifty-two-year-old Mary Carmichael was taken by ambulance to Liberty Hospital. The report noted she was not using a seat belt and the crash demolished the car.

Unionville man arrested on drug and firearm allegations
The highway patrol reports a Unionville man was arrested early Sunday in Putnam County, Twenty-six-year-old Jacob Wolfe was accused on felony counts of delivering methamphetamine and unlawful possession of a firearm. He also was accused of misdemeanor driving while intoxicated/drugs, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Wolfe was transported to the Putnam County Jail.
