The Galt Board of Aldermen set the tax levy at a hearing during its meeting on August 11th. The levy was set at $1 per $100 of assessed valuation for general revenue. That is the same rate as last year.

Grundy R-5 High School announces top academic students
The Valedictorian for this year’s graduating senior class at Grundy R-5 High School in Galt is Parker Christy, while the Salutatorian is Cooper Lewis. There were 13 graduating seniors at commencement which was held Saturday afternoon at the school.
