The Trenton Area Ministerial Alliance will sponsor a National Day of Prayer observance on the west side of the Grundy County Courthouse in Trenton on May 2 at noon. The theme for this year’s event is “Lift Up the Word, Light Up the World,” with scripture readings from 2 Samuel 22:29-31.
Dan Wilford will extend a welcome and lead an opening prayer, while Lori Kiehl will deliver a devotional. The musical lineup includes hymns such as “The Light of the World is Jesus” and “America the Beautiful.”
The observance will also feature the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer circle around the flagpole, focusing on prayers for America.
