A Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail inmate faces a felony charge in Daviess County after he allegedly assaulted another individual multiple times on April 14.

Thirty-two-year-old Jaccob Spencer of Raytown has been charged with second-degree attempted assault. His bond was denied.

Spencer is accused of attempting to inflict physical injury by striking the victim in the face and back of the head with his closed fists.

Reports suggest there have been multiple incidents involving Spencer during his tenure at the Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail.

The probable cause document details Spencer’s criminal history, which includes convictions for possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana, driving while revoked or suspended and tampering with a motor vehicle. Additionally, he faces a pending charge of first-degree assault in DeKalb County.
