The Galt Fire Protection District and Milan Rural Fire Department provided mutual aid to the Medicine Creek Fire Protection District for a grass fire on April 24.
According to Galt Firefighter Brian Smiley, the fire consumed approximately 10 acres along Highway ZZ in Sullivan County. Smiley reported that firefighters used leaf blowers and rakes to extinguish the blaze. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
Firefighters spent about 30 minutes at the scene.
