The Grundy County Commission will hold a hearing regarding the 2022 budget. The hearing will be at the courthouse in Trenton on January 31st at 9:30 in the morning. County Clerk Betty Spickard reports the commission is expected to adopt the budget after the hearing.

Carla D. Combs, a former utility clerk for the city of Forsyth, has been charged with one felony count of stealing by the Taney County Prosecuting Attorney for allegedly misappropriating $2,000 in utility deposits from the city. Two meetings in Chillicothe postponed
The Chillicothe Historic Preservation Commission meeting scheduled for January 18th has been canceled due to illness. City Clerk Roze Frampton reports the meeting will be rescheduled for a later date. Nuisance hearings scheduled for January 19th have been postponed until the February 16th hearing date. Notices of the change will be mailed this week.
Galt Board of Aldermen hear engineering report for water system improvements
