City of Chillicothe re-opens search for City Administrator

The City of Chillicothe has reopened its city administrator search.

Information provided by City Clerk Roze Frampton says the city administrator will oversee operations of six departments, including police, fire, and emergency medical services, airport, streets, parks and recreation, and codes and zoning. The ideal candidate must be able to establish and maintain harmonious relationships with elected officials, the business community, intergovernmental partners, and community organizations.

The city administrator should have a bachelor’s degree in public/municipal administration or related field with three to five years of experience. A master’s degree is preferred.

Residency is required. The salary is negotiable based on qualifications, with a range of $112,000 to $132,000 per year. There are also benefits.

Former City Administrator Darin Chappell retired, effective December 17th. He served as the city administrator for four years.
