The North 65 Center in Trenton has announced it will be closed for the rest of the day on Friday, due to an incident involving a contractor hitting natural gas line outside the building, causing a leak prior to 11 o’clock on Friday morning.
No noon meals will be served at the North 65 Center. However, home deliveries will continue to be made.
The North 65 Center was evacuated.
Nearby businesses also were evacuated or told to shelter in place while repairs were made. As of the noon hour, those businesses have been told it is safe to return to those locations.
Motorists are being asked to avoid the area near the North 65 Center to prevent getting in the way.
