A Browning man has been charged in Linn County with the felonies of first-degree assault or attempt and armed criminal action. Fifty-nine-year-old Wendell Dean Havens charges stem from April 6th. Havens entered a plea of not guilty on April 13th. The case is set for bond review on April 19th.

Jury returns verdict of “Guilty” in Linn County rape case
A man was found guilty this week on charges of first-degree statutory rape and patronizing prostitution. The Linn County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office reports a Sullivan County jury returned a guilty verdict for Rodger Gannan in the Linn County case. Sentencing is scheduled for June 9th. The Brookfield Police Department investigated the case.
