Grundy County R-5 High School Prom King and Queen were crowned as students celebrated on Saturday night, April 27, 2024.
The event kicked off with a photo session starting at 6 p.m., followed by the Grand March at 7 p.m. The dance, a central highlight of the evening, occurred in the old gym from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The festivities continued with “After Prom Activities,” held from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m.
A significant moment of the night was the announcement of the Grundy R-5 Prom King and Queen. A competitive group of seniors vied for these titles. King candidates included Corbin Axtell, Cooper Coffman, Slade Hill, Peyton Moore, Layton Stonger, and Jaydon Stotts. Kaylee Fischer, Molly Milazzo, Chloe Weske, and Makina Limkemann competed for queen.
As the evening concluded, Corbin Axtell was crowned Prom King, and Molly Milazzo was named Prom Queen, both receiving the honor amidst applause and cheers from their peers.
