The burn ban for Livingston County has been temporarily lifted due to conditions temporarily improving with Thursday’s rain. Chillicothe Fire Chief Darrell Wright reports Livingston County Presiding Commissioner Ed Douglas has authorized the 48-hour temporary lifting of the ban to allow for necessary burning. Burn ban issued for Grundy County

With the drought escalating into extreme conditions in portions of northern Missouri, Grundy County has now been added to the list of those instituting burn bans. The Grundy County Commission on Thursday has instituted a burn ban to take effect immediately for Grundy County until such times as conditions improve.
