Emergency rooms experience an increase in lawn mowing injuries this time of year. Dr. Christopher Sampson with MU Health Care says the most severe injuries are cuts and amputations. A recent report suggests about 250,000 Americans will be seen in emergency rooms this year with injuries caused by lawn mowers.

The Highway Patrol reports the arrest of a Trenton man in Livingston County Saturday night on several allegations. Thirty-eight-year-old Gaylord Humphrey was accused of felony possession of a controlled substance: marijuana, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to register a motor vehicle, and no insurance. Humphrey was transported to the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail.
