Area schools to hold graduation ceremonies today

Area schools will hold graduation ceremonies on Sunday, May 5, 2019.

Eighteen seniors will graduate from North Mercer R-3 High School at 2 o’clock with high school English teacher Melissa Hill addressing the graduates.

Eight students will graduate from Southwest Livingston County R-1 of Ludlow at 2 o’clock. Southwest’s valedictorian is William Garrett Cramer, and the salutatorian is Meredith Catherine Oesch.

Green City R-1 High School will hold a ceremony at 2 o’clock for 15 graduates. Green City R-1 Elementary School Principal and past class sponsor Jamie Halley will speak.

Nine students will graduate from Tina-Avalon R-2 at 2 o’clock. Fifteen seniors will graduate from Pattonsburg R-2, also at 2 o’clock. At 2:30, 19 students will graduate from Linn County R-1 of Purdin with teacher Lindsay Kingsolver speaking. Breckenridge will have four students graduate at 3 o’clock with English teacher Terri McAvoy addressing the class.

Twenty-two students will graduate in the gym of Northwestern R-1 of Mendon at 6 o’clock. Physical Education teacher and coach Michael Kahn will speak at the ceremony.
