The Chillicothe City Council will consider four ordinances on April 29. The meeting will take place at Chillicothe City Hall at 5:30 p.m.

One ordinance proposes to accept the lowest and most responsible bid for three years of HVAC maintenance. Another aims to approve a lease agreement with Grand River Entertainment for the use of Shaffer Memorial Park in 2024. Additionally, an ordinance would authorize the city to enter a supervised work release program agreement with the Missouri Department of Corrections. The final ordinance seeks to amend sections of the city code regarding animals and fowl.

The council’s agenda also features a presentation by Main Street Chillicothe about a painting project in the Arts District, a police recruitment program including a recruitment reimbursement agreement, and a fireworks display agreement with J and M Displays.

The agenda for the April 29 meeting of the Chillicothe City Council includes a closed session to discuss employee matters.
