The Trenton R-9 Annual Halloween Carnival has been canceled this year due to construction at the high school and the COVID-19 pandemic. Spokesperson David Burkeybile hopes the carnival will return next school year. The carnival is co-sponsored by the Trenton Bulldog Mascot Team, THS Student Council, and other school district classes, clubs, and organizations.
The Missouri Department of Corrections reports an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases at the Western Missouri Correctional Center of Cameron.
