Audio: Medical marijuana distribution outlined as advocates speak out

Supporters of medical marijuana are speaking out after Amendment 2’s passage by Missouri voters Tuesday.  Amy Aldridge, a mother in southeast Missouri, said she would have moved mountains to give her daughter, Sahara, relief from cancer treatments and wishes she had medical marijuana as an option to do so.

Proponents of medical marijuana are speaking out after Amendment 2’s passage by Missouri voters Tuesday. Aldridge said she did everything she could to help her 13-year-old daughter suffer from extreme nausea from cancer treatments.

 

 

Aldridge supported Amendment 2 after watching her daughter experience pain and die at age 13. Medical associations in Kansas City, St. Louis and statewide opposed the measure, saying more research is needed before legalization.
