A meteorologist is scheduled to speak at a storm spotter training session at the Grundy County Courthouse in Trenton February 7th.

The session will be held in the third-floor courtroom at 6 o’clock pending the end of the government shutdown.

Grundy County Emergency Management Director Glen Briggs says a National Weather Service meteorologist will educate attendees on how severe storms form, what to look for, and how to report storms properly.

Many storm spotter training sessions were postponed the last time they were to be held during a government shutdown.
