Chillicothe police say a scam is circulating again in which a telephone caller claims to be with the Social Security office.
Police indicate the caller may claim there’s a warrant or other issue that will result in the suspension of the social security number of the person answering the phone if payment is not made.
Those receiving such a call should just hang up because the call is fake.
