The Laredo Board of Aldermen will hold a tax levy hearing later this month. The hearing is scheduled to take place at Laredo City Hall on August 14 at 5:30 pm.
The proposed tax rate is 99.76 cents ($.9976) per $100 of assessed valuation. This rate comprises $.6983 for general purposes and $.2993 for streets.
The total assessed valuation is estimated at $1,076,254, which is $19,017 more than the previous tax year.
The total assessed valuation for Laredo includes $630,280 from real estate, $216,020 from personal property, and $229,954 from railroad and utility.
