Newtown-Harris School Superintendent to retire June 30, 2019

The Newtown-Harris R-3 Board of Education has accepted the retirement of Superintendent Doctor Kim Johnson. Johnson’s last day with the district will be June 30th. Principal Dustin Freeman says the board will advertise the Superintendent position. In Wednesday’s announcement, the Newtown-Harris R-3 School District and Board of Education wished Johnson well.

A Trenton man has been arrested and charged with burglary from an incident last week. Thirty-six-year-old Jonathan LeRoy Davis was arrested Sunday and accused of unlawfully entering an inhabitable structure, for the alleged purpose of stealing, at 30-39 East 10th Street.
