Pleasant View Board of Education approves student lunch price increase

The Pleasant View R-6 Board of Education approved an increase in the price for student lunches at its meeting Tuesday evening.

A student lunch will now cost $2.55, which is a 10-cent increase from the current price. The price for a student breakfast will stay the same at $1.40.

The board approved Michaels Construction to refinish the library flooring for $4,000. A purchase was approved for the Accelerated Reading program for third through eighth grade next school year for $1,450 for the year. A contract with Pinpoint Tech LLC was approved for technology services for next school year at a rate of $50 per hour.

The board approved the student and faculty handbooks for next school year.

The Pleasant View Board of Education is accepting applications for two weeks for a board member. Interested individuals should contact the school office.

In a closed session, the board approved hiring Stacy McLain of Galt as the new school custodian. Her duties are to begin today (Wednesday, May 15th).

Enrollment for the next school year was also approved.
