Gene Alan Dunn Obit PhotoGene Alan Dunn, a dedicated serviceman, passed away recently. Born on February 7, 1955, in St. Paul, Minnesota, Dunn devoted his life to serving his country after graduating and joining the Navy. He retired with the rank of Machinist’s Mate Third Class (MS3).

Dunn was well-known for his warm personality, making a new friend every time he spoke to someone. In the last decade of his life, he settled in Galt, Missouri, where he was an integral part of the community, creating a “family” with the locals.

Dunn was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Dunn; son, Johnathan Dunn; grandson, Joshua Mason; and great-grandson, Dextin Cole Masoner. His legacy continues through his surviving family, including sons William (Nichole) Masoner and Cory Dunn; daughters Stefany Masoner and Lacey (Brad); 17 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled to take place at Galt Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on March 10, 2024. Following the service, there will be a potluck dinner in his honor.
