Two individuals were taken to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe and the driver of the vehicle was arrested following an all-terrain vehicle accident yesterday afternoon near the edge of Chillicothe.
The report listed injuries as moderate for 36-year-old Matthew Curtis and 14-year-old Ehrich Weiss-Vanfossen, both of Chillicothe.
The highway patrol reports the crash occurred as the ATV was westbound on East 10th Street in Chillicothe and failed to slow reasonably to navigate the corner with Missouri Avenue causing the ATV to overturn and eject both occupants.
The highway patrol accused Matthew Curtis of driving while intoxicated causing physical injury to another person; driving while suspended; operating an ATV upon a highway; also unlawfully operating an all-terrain vehicle carrying a passenger when not designed to do so.
Minor damage was listed for the ATV and the patrol report states neither occupant was using a safety device.
