Trenton’s Building and Nuisance Board Monday evening advanced three properties to a public hearing and gave extensions of time to four others as work is underway.

The board voted to move to a public hearing at a meeting in August 812 Grant Street, 1113, 1115 Main Street, and 1-09 Main Street.

Ninety-day extensions were issued by the board to 1117 Main Street, 900 Main, and 409 East 19th Street. A 30-day extension went to 813 Olive Street.  The board voted to add 604 Linn Street to the declaration of a nuisance for consideration at next months’ meeting.

Nuisance officer and code enforcement director Wes Barone reported a dozen nuisance structures at Trenton have been eliminated this year. Barone noted this includes seven structures on the demolition project list with cost-sharing between the city and property owners. He added the Red Rock Company is demolishing four structures on a private arrangement with those owners, and Perkins Construction has demolished the property and cleared the lot at 1407 Main Street.

All seven members of the Building and Nuisance Board attended last nights’ meeting at City Hall.
