Power outages impacted customers of Evergy and Grundy Electric Cooperative in Grundy County on April 26.
An Evergy representative reported that a downed wire led to a power outage affecting 232 customers in the Galt and Laredo areas. The outage began at approximately 11 a.m. and power was restored by 12:45 p.m.
Similarly, a representative from Grundy Electric noted that high winds caused two to three separate outages affecting about 55 customers between Trenton and Galt. These outages began around 10 a.m., with power being restored approximately three hours later.
