Missouri man arrested in Harrison County formally charged with 7 misdemeanors

Formal charges were filed Tuesday against a Darlington, Missouri man arrested by the Highway Patrol after a crash in Harrison County Monday night.

Online court information indicates 36-year-old Daniel Dougherty has been charged with seven misdemeanors, including driving while intoxicated; operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner involving an accident; resisting or interfering with an arrest, detention, or stop; failure to drive on the right half of the roadway when roadway was of sufficient width; failure to stop for a stop sign; unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia; and operating a motor vehicle owned by another knowing the owner of the vehicle has not maintained financial responsibility.

Dougherty was also charged with an infraction of failure to properly affix or fasten to or maintain a motor vehicle or trailer plates.

The Highway Patrol reported Monday night that Dougherty was taken to the Harrison County Jail at Bethany for a 24-hour hold.
