Beginning Tuesday, October 3 through Thursday, October 5, Trenton Municipal Utilities will be flushing fire hydrants.
System flushing is required annually and by testing the fire hydrants, this helps to update fire protection records.
This week, the work continues in the area south of Crowder Road and west of the Railroad tracks between the hours of 7:30 am and 2 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Other areas of Trenton will be done in forthcoming weeks.
TMU customers can expect some discolored water and air in their house services and are advised to use caution when doing laundry. Over the next few weeks, it will be necessary to run the tap water until it is clear and not do laundry until the water clears.
