Claget M. Fairley, a 77-year-old Harris, MO, resident, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at his home.
Claget M. Fairley was born on February 8, 1947, in Harris, MO, to Max and Kathleen (Jaynes) Fairley. After graduating high school, he was inducted into the United States Army on May 25, 1966. Claget served in the 1st Infantry Division in the combat fields of Vietnam. He was honorably discharged on February 29, 1968. He then returned to the Wintersville Community near Harris, where he farmed for the remainder of his life. He enjoyed helping his neighbors and friends. He was an avid hunter and very proud of his military time.
He is survived by close friends, who considered him family, John and Beth Mino, and their family. He is also survived by a host of cousins, friends, and neighbors.
He was cremated under the direction of Slater Neal Funeral Home of Trenton, with memorial and military graveside services to be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Asbury Cemetery near Harris.
