Two children from Savannah were hurt late Saturday afternoon when an all-terrain-vehicle overturned northwest of Savannah.

The highway patrol reports two-year-old Eliza Hummer received moderate injuries and five-year-old Alivia Hummer had minor injuries. Both girls were taken by private vehicle to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.  Both were passengers on an ATV operated by 32-year-old John Hummer of Savannah who was not reported hurt.

The accident happened on private property about five miles northwest of Savannah when the ATV went down an embankment, the driver applied the brakes, and the ATV turned clockwise and overturned before coming to rest on its wheels. All three occupants were thrown from the vehicle.

The patrol reports none of the three occupants were wearing a safety equipment.
