Trash, debris top Trenton nuisance incidents in latest report

The Trenton Police Department reports a total of 25 nuisance incidents filed this year as of April 22, a rise from the 13 reported through March 25, however, this number shows a decrease from the 28 incidents reported from January through April 24, 2023.

A detailed summary of nuisance complaints reveals that the majority this year, up to April 22, involved trash and debris, with 13 instances. Additionally, six complaints pertained to an unregistered vehicle, four to the open storage of a vehicle, and two to overgrown grass and weeds.

Currently, 19 of these incidents remain active. Police Chief Rex Ross noted that two trash and debris complaints were resolved through clean-up efforts or abatement. Four incidents have been prosecuted, while no nuisance-related cases are pending on the court docket.
