In a crash near Amazonia, Missouri, a 16-year-old driver experienced a rollover crash but sustained only minor injuries. The incident occurred on the afternoon of April 10th, around 4:49 p.m., at the intersection of State Route T and County Road 398, approximately 1.5 miles north of Amazonia.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver, an Amazonia resident, was navigating a 1999 Ford F150 eastbound on Route T when he lost control of the vehicle. The truck veered off the south side of the roadway, and in an attempt to correct its course, the driver brought it back onto the road. However, an overcorrection led to the vehicle going off the south side again, this time overturning and coming to rest on its wheels facing west.

The teenager, who was alone in the vehicle, was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. After the crash, the driver was transported to Mosaic Life Care by private vehicle for treatment of minor injuries. The truck suffered extensive damage and was towed from the scene.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Andrew County Sheriff’s Department in responding to the accident.
