The Gilman City R-4 Board of Education has approved holding Summer School. Bookkeeper Tori Wideman reports Summer School is scheduled for May 20th through June 4th. Chillicothe City Council hires two police officers from Trenton
The Chillicothe City Council hired two full-time police officers during an executive session this week. Kami Nelson and Jake Baucom were hired on votes of five to zero. Chillicothe Police Chief Jon Maples says they will start at the department in the second week of March. Nelson and Baucom are currently police officers in Trenton.

The Chillicothe City Council hired two firefighters during an executive session at the last meeting. Mathew Chaney was hired as a full-time emergency medical technician/firefighter, and Mathew Gabrielson was hired as a firefighter paid-by-call. The vote on each was five to zero.
