Between March 29 and March 31, 2024, the Missouri State Highway Patrol carried out eleven arrests across north Missouri. These arrests, made solely by the Highway Patrol, involved a range of charges from driving under the influence to possession of controlled substances.
Luke T. Lehmann, a 20-year-old male from Kirksville, MO, faced multiple charges following his arrest by the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Adair County. Lehmann was cited for speeding, operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, being a minor in possession of alcohol, and resisting arrest. After being processed at the Adair County Sheriff’s Department, Lehmann was released.
In Sullivan County, Abimael Z. Sanchez, 31, from Milan, MO, was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) and driving without a valid license. Following his arrest, Sanchez was held at the Sullivan County Jail but has since been released.
Mahlon J. Kugler, a 40-year-old male from Brashear, MO, was arrested in Adair County on charges of fourth-degree assault, classified as a Class A misdemeanor. Kugler was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Adair County Sheriff’s Department following his arrest.
Cory L. Fleming, 51, of Bloomfield, IA, faced a DWI charge in Schuyler County. Fleming’s arrest led to his being held at the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Department, though he was subsequently released.
Clifford M. Deatsch, a 64-year-old male from Hermann, MO, was arrested in Monroe County on serious charges including felony DWI and driving while revoked. Deatsch was released for medical treatment following his arrest.
In Buchanan County, Gary D. Proffit, 52, of St. Joseph, MO, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving. He was held on a 24-hour hold at the Buchanan County Law Enforcement Center.
William Z. Cain, a 33-year-old male from Cainsville, MO, was arrested in Harrison County for driving while intoxicated, failing to drive on the right half of the roadway, having no insurance, and not wearing a seatbelt. Cain was placed on a 12-hour hold at the Harrison County Jail.
Also in Harrison County, Christopher W. Thomas, 21, from Eagleville, MO, was taken into custody on a misdemeanor Harrison County warrant for a nuisance violation. Thomas was held at the Harrison County Jail, with the possibility of posting bond.
James A. Lynch, 62, of Kansas City, MO, faced multiple charges including felony possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), felony resisting arrest, and three misdemeanor Clay County warrants for failing to appear for moving traffic violations. Lynch was held on a 24-hour hold at the Clinton County Jail.
McKale A. Wick, a 31-year-old female from Saint Joseph, MO, was arrested in Buchanan County on a misdemeanor Buchanan County warrant for driving while revoked/suspended. Wick was held at the Buchanan County Law Enforcement Center but was bondable.
Lastly, Aaron A. Kerns, 18, from Savannah, MO, was arrested for driving while intoxicated – alcohol in Buchanan County. Kerns was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Buchanan County Law Enforcement Center following his arrest.
