The Highway Patrol reports a Kirksville man sustained minor injuries when the car he drove struck an embankment in Adair County Monday night.
A private vehicle transported 72-year-old Ernest Lafferty to the Northeast Regional Medical Center of Kirksville.
The car traveled north on Route V before running off the right side of the road at Highway 6 and striking the embankment, which caused the vehicle minor damage.
The Patrol notes Lafferty wore a seat belt.
