The Chillicothe Police Department was active on Thursday, March 14th, 2024, addressing various incidents throughout the city.
Throughout the day, the Chillicothe Police Department also performed traffic stops, business checks, and paper service, and continued with numerous investigations.
A total of 98 calls for service were received on March 14th, 2024.
- 12:34 AM: Officers responded to a report concerning a suicidal individual in the 200 block of Jackson Street. Fortunately, the person was found unharmed and posed no threat to themselves or others.
- 08:11 AM: A male suspect was apprehended at the Law Enforcement Center (LEC) on an active warrant related to endangering the welfare of a child. After posting the required bond, the suspect was released.
- 09:18 AM: A report of a runaway juvenile was filed. The child was subsequently found within Chillicothe city limits.
- 09:20 AM: The Animal Control Officer (ACO) set a live trap for animals on the 10 block of 11th Street.
- 09:42 AM: A lost dog report was taken by the ACO, who later found the dog.
- 10:18 AM: The ACO received a call regarding destructive groundhogs in the 1900 block of Polk Street. Live traps are to be set up.
- 12:09 PM: An animal complaint was investigated in the 700 block of Samuel Street.
- 03:56 PM: Property was released back to its owner by evidence custodians.
- 04:17 PM: Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 500 block of BUS 36, which was identified as a verbal argument between individuals who had left the scene.
- 04:40 PM: The previously reported missing juvenile was located in the 1000 block of Jackson and returned to their parents.
- 05:50 PM: A citizen reported receiving threats. Although a formal report was not filed, officers advised the accused to cease contact with the complainant.
- 05:57 PM: A harassment complaint was assessed and determined to be a civil matter.
- 06:37 PM: A welfare check was conducted for an elderly female seen walking. She was found to be well and walking intentionally.
- 06:52 PM: A report of a vehicle playing loud music in the 400 block of Mechanic Street was resolved upon officers’ arrival, as the music had been turned down.
