The Chillicothe Police Department reported a busy day on Monday, March 11th, 2024, with officers responding to a range of incidents from suspicious activities to vehicle accidents, trespassing, and harassment. The department received a total of 83 calls for service throughout the day.

At 5:20 AM, officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of 2nd Street following a report of suspicious activity. Upon their arrival, they found no evidence of criminal activity or individuals in the vicinity.

The morning continued to be eventful with a vehicle accident reported at 10:06 AM on the 1200 block of Washington Street. The collision occurred on private property, where officers assisted the drivers in exchanging information. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

By 1:49 PM, the police responded to a trespassing report on the 400 block of Jackson Street. A subject was contacted by the officers and subsequently issued a warning for trespassing.

A more serious incident occurred at 4:45 PM in the 1500 block of Bryan Street, where a single-vehicle accident involved a collision with a power pole. The driver received a citation for failing to maintain a single lane, though, notably, there were no injuries reported.

The evening saw officers addressing harassment at 6:19 PM in the 100 block of Brunswick Street. The responding officers met with the reporting party and identified a suspect who was accused of causing repeated disturbances. The suspect was arrested on charges including harassment, trespassing, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and littering, and was taken to CCDC on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

In addition to these incidents, the Chillicothe Police Department officers carried out traffic stops, conducted business checks, and followed up on numerous investigations throughout the day.
