Trussworks Mid-America LLC, a leading truss manufacturer, announced today that it will establish a new facility in Jackson, investing $5 million and creating 70 new jobs. The company’s facility will enhance its production capabilities while enabling it to meet growing demand for its products.

“Trussworks’ decision to locate its new facility in Jackson speaks to the value of our state’s economic advantages,” said Governor Mike Parson. “This company’s expansion is the latest example of a leading employer choosing Missouri due to our superior infrastructure, skilled workforce, and ideal business climate. We look forward to Trussworks’ success in Jackson as it invests and creates jobs in the area.”

Trussworks leadership joined local and state officials for a groundbreaking ceremony today to celebrate the company’s new facility. Construction will begin as soon as possible, with operations expected to begin later this year.

“We are excited to embark on this expansion journey and to establish our new facility in Jackson,” said Steve Stroder, President and CEO of Trussworks Mid-America, LLC. “With the support of the Missouri Department of Economic Development, local authorities, and our dedicated team, we are confident in our ability to drive success and contribute positively to the local economy. This investment underscores our commitment to delivering exceptional products to our customers while creating jobs and opportunities for the community.”

Trussworks’ new facility will be located in a Cape Girardeau County Enhanced Enterprise Zone, which provides a 50 percent real property tax abatement for ten years. Collaboration among the city, county, and state to support the company highlights a collective commitment to foster a business-friendly environment and support the growth of local employers.

“DED is proud to support Trussworks as it establishes in Jackson and creates new opportunities for Missourians to prosper,” said Michelle Hataway, Acting Director of the Department of Economic Development. “We appreciate the collaborative efforts of our partners who helped ensure this company brings new investment and job creation to southeast Missouri.”

For this expansion, Trussworks will benefit from the Missouri Works program, a tool that helps companies expand and retain workers by providing access to capital through withholdings or tax credits for job creation. The expansion is also being supported by a $787,812 grant from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program to construct and improve public infrastructure, including streets, water distribution, stormwater, and sanitary sewer, to make the project possible.

Texas-based Trussworks designs and builds wood trusses for the construction industry. In addition to standard wood floor trusses and wood roof trusses, the company also supplies timber trusses, timber products (posts and beams), engineered wood products (posts and beams), Simpson Construction hardware, and wall panels. Trussworks supplies individuals, general contractors, and builders.
