Robert Bob Chenoweth obit photoRobert (Bob) J. Chenoweth, 90, a resident of Trenton, Missouri, died at 6:04 p.m., Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Sunnyview Nursing Home, Trenton, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Resthaven Mortuary, Trenton, Missouri. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Trenton, Missouri.

Family visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary.

Memorials to the Grundy County Museum may be left with the mortuary.

Mr. Chenoweth was born September 12, 1933, in Brookfield, Missouri, the son of William Hadley and Neva Arlene (Spencer) Chenoweth. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, being honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force. He was the owner/technician of Bob’s TV & Appliance. Before retiring, he was employed at the Vo-Tech School in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was also a past president of the Grundy County Museum Board.

He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Trenton, Missouri.

On January 29, 1955, he was married to Betty R. Hein in Trenton, Missouri. She preceded him in death on February 7, 2024.

His survivors include his children: Bobby Chenoweth and wife Janice, Farley, Missouri; Barry Chenoweth and wife Sue, Trenton, Missouri; Betsy Quinn and husband Pat, Buda, Texas; four grandchildren: Brett Chenoweth and wife Abby, Ashley (Chenoweth) Elder and husband Josh, Kyle Chenoweth and wife Angie, Kolton Chenoweth and wife Ellen; eleven great-grandchildren: Tucker, Maddox, Beckett, Evelynn, Emmett, Kenna, Aubrie, Lucas, Oakley, Maya, Dexter; and one sister, June Kahn and husband Fred, Shawnee Mission, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
