Motorcyclist injured in Highway ZZ accident near Graham

A motorcycle accident on Highway ZZ, one mile north of Graham, Missouri, resulted in moderate injuries for a Maitland man on the evening of April 9, 2024. Joshua W. Schroder, 39, was southbound on his 1986 Honda motorcycle when he lost control due to the rear brakes locking up. The incident occurred at approximately 7:37 p.m.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the motorcycle crossed the center line before returning to the southbound lane and then veered off the west side of the roadway. Schroder was ejected from the motorcycle, which came to rest on its side facing south. 

Schroder was not wearing any safety equipment at the time of the accident. He was transported by Nodaway County EMS to Mosaic in St. Joseph, Missouri, for treatment of his injuries.

The motorcycle sustained minor damage and was removed from the scene by a private vehicle.

The Nodaway County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
