Mindy Moon, age 50 passed away April 4, 2024. Mindy also known as Melinda Dawn Moon was a compassionate loving individual with a fun disposition. She had a great love of animals, especially her beloved dog, Max, as well as other cats, dogs, and horses.
Mindy worked as a CNA at a residential center and was dedicated to caring for others. She was born in Grand Prairie, TX. She went to primary school in Dimmitt, TX. Mindy was a Christian and found solace in her faith. No services are planned at this time. Instead of flowers, the family requests donations made in her honor to Stover’s Residential Care Facility, 520 East Fifth Street, Milan, Missouri 63556 where Mindy dedicated her time and care, or Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home at 120 West Fourth Street, Milan, Missouri 63556. Mindy will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her mother Linda Tucker and stepdad Toby Tucker, Her brother, Jaret Tucker, Her Grandmother, Peggy Bates (Tinker), Her uncle, Billy Derryberry, Cousins, Stacy Tucker, Jackie Womack and wife Jessica and Bear Womack and wife, Maria. She had three grown children, Michael Freeman, Breona Freeman, and Chris (CJ) Calderon, Jr, she had 4 grandchildren, Reina, Manuel, MaKenley, and Skylar.
Her grandparents Bill and Mary Derryberry, her aunt Sharon Derryberry, and her father Donald Moon preceded her in death.
Mindy had a large family of relatives who loved her also, as well as lots of friends whom she loved.
