More than 100,000 people in Missouri have developmental disabilities. During March, we celebrate the many achievements and contributions of individuals with developmental disabilities throughout our nation and our community. We promote a society of inclusion and acceptance, where persons with developmental disabilities enjoy life in their community, where they reside and work.

Presiding Commissioner, Phillip Ray, signed a proclamation recognizing March as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in Grundy County.

The Commissioners of Grundy County urge all citizens to give full support to efforts towards enabling citizens with developmental disabilities to live productive lives, maximizing their potential.
