The Chillicothe City Council approved hiring the interim fire chief as the fire chief and director of emergency services during an executive session this week. Eric Reeter’s hiring will take effect on September 16th.
The council appointed Reeter as the interim fire chief in June due to Fire Chief Darrell Wright taking what was described as an extended leave.
Connor Dixon was also hired as a firefighter emergency medical technician, paramedic trainee.
