The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is now accepting entries for its 2024 photo contest, with a submission deadline of September 1.
Missouri boasts an array of stunning natural resources, including unique state parks, historic sites, natural phenomena, scenic landscapes, and diverse wildlife. For the 11th consecutive year, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources invites photographers of all skill levels and ages to showcase these wonders by participating in the annual MoDNR Photo Contest.
Participants are encouraged to submit photos that have been taken in Missouri.
The contest includes several categories for entries:
- Natural Resources: Photographs showcasing Missouri’s air, landscapes, and waterways.
- Unique Places: Photographs captured within Missouri’s state parks and historic sites. For a complete list of locations, please visit the Missouri State Parks website.
- People Enjoying Missouri’s Outdoors: Images depicting individuals engaging with and enjoying the great outdoors of Missouri.
A panel of judges will evaluate the submissions and select first, second, third, and honorable mention winners in each category following the contest deadline. Winning photographs will be prominently displayed across the department’s social media platforms and on its website.
