Authorities in Daviess County report they are investigating the death of a woman from an apparent gunshot wound.
It was approximately 3:30 Sunday afternoon when Deputy Jared Hogan and Sergeant Larry Adams – along with members of the highway patrol – responded to a residence described as in northwest Daviess county.
Upon arrival, officers found an adult female deceased at the scene. The identity of the victim has not yet been released by authorities.
Also, the Daviess County sheriff’s office reports the cause and manner of death will be released at a later time and date upon completion of the investigation.
