The Chillicothe Police Department has released its report detailing activities and responses from March 1st to March 3rd, 2024. The following account provides a chronological overview of the incidents handled by the officers.

Throughout this period, the Chillicothe Police Department also conducted traffic stops, and business checks, and continued with numerous investigations. A total of 171 calls for service were received on March 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively.

Friday, March 1st, 2024

  • 8:36 AM: Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Samuel Street following a parking complaint. Upon arrival, they determined the vehicle was parked legally.
  • 12:16 PM: A welfare check was conducted in the 300 block of JFK for a male found slumped over in his vehicle. The individual was found to be merely sleeping and was otherwise unharmed.
  • 1:54 PM: In the 600 block of Locust Street, an individual was arrested on an outstanding warrant. The subject was unable to post bond and was consequently transported to jail.
  • 5:08 PM: A report of a delayed motor vehicle crash was filed by a walk-in at the police department. The incident is under investigation; no injuries were reported.
  • 6:15 PM and 6:52 PM: Officers guided child custody and addressed harassment inquiries in the 600 block of Walnut Street.
  • 8:21 PM: A child was reported separated from their parent in a business in the 1000 block of Graves Street. The child was quickly found and reunited with their parent, uninjured.

Saturday, March 2nd, 2024

  • 1:11 AM: A theft report was received from the 10 block of Jennifer Lane. The suspect remains unidentified, with the investigation ongoing.
  • 12:46 PM: Assistance was provided to the Children’s Division in the 100 block of Jackson Street; however, contact with the intended subject was not established.
  • 1:54 PM: Officers resolved a verbal altercation in the 1000 block of Washington Street. No physical confrontations or arrests were reported.
  • 3:55 PM: A report of a speeding C&I vehicle in the 1500 block of Bryan Street went unresolved as the vehicle could not be located.
  • 4:21 PM: A verbal dispute in the 2000 block of Shawnee Drive resulted in both parties separating for the evening without arrests.
  • 5:44 PM: A noise complaint in the 500 block of Williams Street led to contact with a suspect; charges are pending.
  • 10:38 PM: Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 1000 block of Graves Street but found no criminal activity.

Sunday, March 3rd, 2024

  • 12:53 PM: Package theft was reported in the 1300 block of Jackson. Despite reviewing neighborhood camera footage, no suspect was identified.
  • 1:20 PM: A female with an outstanding warrant was arrested in the 700 block of Vine Street, later posting bond and receiving a court date.
  • 2:03 PM: Officers assisted an individual attempting self-harm near Washington and Webster Streets, transporting them for a mental health evaluation.
  • 5:13 PM: A verbal domestic dispute in the 600 block of Webster Street was deescalated, with both parties advised on the Missouri Adult Abuse Act.
  • 7:11 PM: Suspicious activity reported in the 1000 block of Maple was investigated, with no crimes or suspicious individuals found.
