The Chillicothe City Council is scheduled to host a public hearing and will deliberate on four ordinances during its upcoming meeting. This meeting is set to take place at the Chillicothe City Hall on March 11 at 5:30 p.m.

The agenda for the public hearing includes a discussion on the proposed expenditures for the 2024-2025 period from the Capital Improvement Sales Tax.

Among the ordinances up for consideration, one seeks to renew the contract with Green Hills Communications. This contract provides telephone and internet services to city hall, eight department offices, and two other locations. Another ordinance on the table proposes an amendment to extend the lease terms with Randy Price for a farm lease. Additionally, the council will review an ordinance to authorize a cooperative agreement with the Livingston County Ambulance District for emergency services. The final ordinance aims to modify the city code related to taxes on transient guests.

Furthermore, a resolution is proposed to authorize the submission of an application to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources Clean State Revolving Funds. This application is for an integrated management plan grant under the Missouri Clean Water Law.

Other items of discussion at the Chillicothe City Council meeting on March 11 include a dialogue with Hope Haven Industries concerning a community service contract, and issues related to a trash compactor and chute system. There is also a request for consideration to temporarily lift the vacation cap for police department staff.

The Chillicothe City Council will discuss the 2024-2025 budget at a workshop. The workshop will be at the Chillicothe City Hall on March 13th at 5 pm.
